The word yoga comes from a Sanskrit word that means yoke or unite, as well as discipline. Yoga is then the union between body, mind and spirit.

Yoga is a way of living in complete balance and united with the higher nature (Inner Self) to experience supreme bliss. In the yoga Sutras, Patanjali says "Yoga is the cessation of fluctuations or distractions toward evolved consciousness and being".

Therefore, any path, discipline, method, tools, elements that help the individuals to live their life in complete balance is Yoga.

Hatha yoga

Hatha represents opposing energies: Sun and moon, hot and cold (fire and water, similar concept as yin-yang), male and female, positive and negative. Hatha yoga attempts to balance mind and body through physical postures or "asanas", controlled breathing or “pranayamas”, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation.

Restorative hatha yoga

It refers to the practice of entering yoga postures using a variety of props (blankets, bolsters, walls, chairs, pillows, eye pillows, etc.) to support and stabilize the body and to promote relaxation and renewal of body and mind. It is designed to release deeply held tensions, sooth and calm the nervous system, strengthen the immune system, relax the muscles, support the healing processes and integrates body, mind and soul.

Vinyasa hatha yoga

This is a practice linking Sun salutations or similar postures between asanas. Much emphasis is placed on the breathing and the transition in and out of the postures. Generally speaking, upward movements correlate with inhalations and downward movements with exhalations.

Yin/Yang yoga

Yin and Yang complement each other, Yin cannot exist without Yang and vice-versa.

In the body, connective tissues (such as tendons, ligaments, fascia) are considered to be Yin tissues and muscles are considered to be Yang tissues.

This blend of Yin and Yang yoga will bring not only physical and mental balance, but also a deep connection with your inner self.
